Remarkable was on the ball when asked to tackle the media for a client during a visit by Steve McClaren last week.
The former England manager was giving a football master class to leading sports coaching company Planet Sport.
It was one of Steve’s first public appearances since leaving the England manager’s position in November and understandably a real media draw.
Recognised as one of the best coaches in the country, Steve, who has been involved at Planet Sport for a number for a number of years, was also on hand to take a special session which involved putting over 20 of the company’s coaches through their paces.
“The photo shoot and interview with Sky Sports had to be handled sensitively,” said Chris Wotton, PR director of Remarkable. “Steve was very professional and couldn’t do enough for us to make it work on the day.”
Together Planet Sport and Team Elite operates the UK’s largest sports coaching network providing high quality and professional coaching programmes to children and schools all over the country. The organisation delivers after schools’ clubs and sports coaching in the curriculum as well as a range of holiday and residential courses for more than 20,000 children aged 4-12 every week.
Planet Sport managing director Chris Vertannes said: “It was fantastic to have Steve with us, his experience in the game is unquestionable and he’s one of the top coaches in the country. Remarkable did a top job in recommending the right way of handling the media.”
Steve McClaren added: “I was delighted to lead the session. Coaching is all about passion and enthusiasm and making it enjoyable for everyone.”
