Cash Converters is a Dream Client

Cash Converters, the UK's number one retailer of pre-owned and nearly-new goods, has appointed The Remarkable Group to promote its charity partnership with national children's charity Dreams Come True.

Winchester based marketing communications agency Remarkable, will be providing PR support for the charity partnership, through media relations, celebrity engagement and internal communications. Dreams Come True fulfils the dreams of terminally and seriously ill children and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

The initial focus will be on raising awareness of Cash Converters' online charity auction taking place 8 - 17 October. The auction will be hosted on Cash Converters' existing website http://www.cashconverters.co.uk/ where a special Dreams Come True ‘shop' will be created, with all monies going to the charity.

Other fundraising initiatives for the charity throughout the year include the sale of Dreams Come True pin badges and reusable bag in Cash Converters' stores around the country, an annual charity golf day and a glamorous charity ball.

Chris Wotton, PR director of The Remarkable Group, who is heading the account, said: "Working with a well recognised brand and raising money for such a worthwhile cause is both exciting and challenging. We are delighted to be playing an important part in this charity campaign.

"The online auction should prove a very good fundraiser.  We have already secured England football legend Matt Le Tissier to front the national TV campaign commissioned by Cash Converters which will help to promote the auction of donated goods from the franchised stores, as well as signed memorabilia from celebrities such as Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes."

Mark Lemmon, chief executive of Cash Converters said; "Remarkable has shown great enthusiasm towards our objective of supporting Dreams Come True. The agency's knowledge of both the business and charity sectors means they are well placed to help us reach a wide audience and raise much needed funds to fulfil many more dreams."

Cash Converters has transformed the concept of buying and selling pre-owned goods. Since being launched in Australia in 1984 the company has grown enormously with 126 stores in the UK and Ireland and over 500 stores worldwide.
