The Remarkable Group is giving four young students a helping hand in their careers by offering work experience at its Winchester offices over the summer period.
Alex Jacobs, 19, is with Remarkable for a month and will be working across the various divisions in the company, helping the new business, marketing and design and public affairs teams. Alex studied A levels in business, sociology and applied IT at Peter Symonds College in Winchester before approaching Remarkable for work experience.
Alex said of his experience so far: "I called Remarkable because I'd heard a lot of good things about the agency and I like the brand it's created for itself. It's great to experience agency life and see the fantastic work it does."
Martha Tipple is a 20-year-old student from Stockbridge who is studying history and classical civilisation at Manchester University. She will be with Remarkable for seven weeks providing marketing administration support.
Martha said: "I'm interested in a career in PR so it's great to be able to gain an insight into the workings of a marketing communications company and really get a feel for what it does."
Thom Jeal, a 15-year-old year 10 student at Kings' School in Winchester, completed a two-week placement with Remarkable's marketing and design division, with graphic design an area he'd be interested in working in when he leaves school.
Thom said: "It's been great fun using the Macs and to further my computer skills. My experience has given me a real taste of the working world."
Latest recruit is Liberty Lewis, who will be spending one day a week at Remarkable in the PR division. The 19-year-old from Andover is looking forward to a career in PR and marketing.
Stephen Pomeroy said: "It's great to be able to give young, ambitious people some valuable experience in an agency and we are pleased to be investing in such talented individuals."
