Remarkable Group's continued commitment to worldwide charity made a South African community's New Year go off with a bang by making a generous donation from its employees.
Remarkable's staff raised funds for the Helderberg Street People's Centre in Cape Town, South Africa, which is a charity that the group began supporting in 2006. The money raised will be used to buy gifts, including toys and sweets, for the children who attend the centre as part of a special lunch for 2008.
Commenting on the company's support, Stephen Pomeroy, chief executive of Remarkable said; "Remarkable is about helping to make a difference and we take great pleasure in supporting what we believe is an extremely worthwhile cause. The Helderberg Centre is particularly special to me as a close friend is very much involved in the project."
