Winchester based Remarkable Group has come to the aid of Second Chance Animal Rescue Centre, in Southampton, after thieves stole almost £2,000 worth of dog and cat food from the premises.
The animal loving marketing communications agency immediately put out a SOS to all staff who dashed out and bought supplies from a local supermarket and donated lots of food to the Centre, which guarantees rescued animals have a safe and friendly home.
Rose Milne, rescue coordinator at Second Chance, said; "The Remarkable Group's kindness is greatly appreciated - I can't thank them enough. We've over 100 animals that need to be fed so this was a disaster. To respond as quickly as they did was a great effort."
Second Chance Animal Rescue Centre is a charity that Remarkable supports each year. Last December the agency donated much needed funds, to the Centre, as part of the Christmas appeal.
Stephen Pomeroy, chief executive of Remarkable said; "We take great pleasure in supporting what we believe is an extremely worthwhile cause. This was a great team effort and we will continue the collection over the coming weeks to help restock."
SCATS Countrystores, in Winchester, is also kindly donating a voucher worth £150 to Second Chance.
Donations to the rescue centre contribute to boarding cats, dogs and horses throughout the whole year. If you would like to make a donation to the rescue centre telephone Rose on 023 8055 9552 or visit http://www.secondchanceanimalrescue.org.uk for more information. All donations will be gratefully received.
