Remarkable CEO supports Ataxia UK

The Remarkable Group's commitment to worthy causes has extended to the South American continent. Stephen Pomeroy, CEO of the marketing and communications agency, has donated £500 to support Peter Taylor on his challenge to conquer the Inca trek in Peru for Ataxia UK.

Peter raised a total of £9,000, for the UK's leading charity for people with Ataxia, by trekking in Peru.

Ataxia affects a sufferer's nervous system and living with the condition affects their movement, balance and speech. Ataxia UK funds research into treatments and aims to find a cure.

Thanasis Kokolakis, from Ataxia UK, said: "Sponsored challenges are very important to Ataxia as they make up a large amount of the income of the charity. The £9,000 raised by Peter is a fantastic amount and will help many more sufferers of the disease."

Stephen said: "Peter had a hard task trekking through high desert plateaus and tropical rainforests, but it was worth it. Ataxia UK does a brilliant job and the money raised will help the charity find a cure and give sufferers the support they need."
