Marketing and PR communications agency The Remarkable Group is celebrating this week after winning the Outstanding PR Consultancy of the Year award at the prestigious industry CIPR New PRide Awards held in Brighton.
It was a double celebration for the Southampton based agency, which boasts clients all over the UK, as it also scooped the award for Best Integrated Campaign for its work with national waste management company Hippowaste.
Remarkable was chosen from thousands of entries and beat off stiff competition to win both categories in the Home Counties South and Wessex region finals of these industry awards.
The CIPR Awards recognises public relations success and achievement throughout eleven regions in the UK and has 23 categories. The judging process was rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the short listed entries and choosing the medallists.
In singling out Remarkable for the top award of the night, judges said: "Remarkable is an ambitious organisation which has managed to surpass its own high aims. This has been achieved by a real commitment to communication and to living the brand values of its consultancy. By focusing on an idealistic approach to staff and clients, Remarkable has also gained an amazing increase in fee income."
Commenting on Remarkable's achievement, Colin Farrington, CIPR general chairman of judges, said: "To win at the PRide Awards is a superb achievement as year on year the quantity and quality of entries increases and competition gets stronger. The finalists are testament to the good work going on outside London and across sectors. Remarkable should feel proud of their invaluable contribution to business and society."

Remarkable will now go forward to represent the Home Counties South and Wessex region in the national heats where the cream of the PR and communications industry compete head to head at a special event in Birmingham in March 2008.
